Not a minute to soon

It is 11 pm...way past my 9 pm bedtime. I have finally finished my layout for tomorrow's swap. Yes, I have known about this day since the beginning of the year. However, I am down to the wire to create these twelve layouts.

It was so much fun creating these layouts, especially since I am crafting in my new area. I hope the ladies enjoy my "You have my Heart" layout.

Here's a sneak peak!

Central Vac

I have always wanted a central vacuum system. When we lived in Excelsior I tried to have one put in our home; however the company was not successful in putting one in as all the areas were finished off. When we started looking for our new home that was something I dearly wanted; however our dream home did not have one...yet.

This past weekend (after 2 of my 3 vacuums "bit the dust"), we had a central vac put in. What a joy to be able to vacuum. I don't enjoy cleaning...but today was fun playing with my new toy!

Easter Treasures

Words can not express how wonderful my sister, Sheila, is to me. On Easter, she gave me a beautiful Easter package complete with pink grass, antique lace and treasured antique bobbles. I can't wait to use them in my creations.

Thank you sis for all you do!

My Little Corner of the World...

Over the past couple of weeks instead of posting, I have been diligently working on my new scrapbook area. Some of you may know that my "little area" was an unfinished part of our basement with no sunlight. Well, I have emerged from the darkness into our downstairs finished basement. I am so excited as I can look out three windows into our backyard which backs up to the woods. What a great source of inspiration...the outdoors. I can also watch the kids from this area.

Last fall my dear husband bought me an antique maps cabinet, that his company was getting rid of, for my scrapbooking supplies. Within the past weeks, I have been organizing and reorganizing to make my area just so. After getting all of the drawers filled, I finally realized I do have a lot supplies. Some of these papers I have not seen since we moved two years ago. It does pay to have all the papers in one area, as I have forgotten were I had all of them. I guess I will not be hitting the scrapbook store anytime soon. Tee! Hee!

My dear brother-in-law, Ken, came and put up my new embellishment center. It is not all full yet, however give it time. It will be full soon. Thank you Ken!

I would like to add curtains to my three windows and add a few "crafty decorations" around my new area, but that will come with time. I am the kind of person that will wait until I find the perfect item before just putting something up to fill the space. So until then, my little "world" is coming together quite nicely.

Grand Slam

Last night, we attended the Royals game. What a sight to see! We saw John Buck (Grant's favorite player) hit not one but two home runs! The final home run was a Grand Slam! The Royals won 9 to 3.

It was a great time watching my two men enjoy the game!
