Surprise kids...HSM3

Yes, we are part of the craze...HSM3 (or for those that don't know High School Musical 3). Last night we surprised the kids by taking them to the premier of HSM3. They were so excited and to tell you the truth I was too.

Well, the director and cast out did themselves. This is truly a movie to go see, as it brings out the kid in you. Yes, I laughed, sang along and even cried. It brought great memories of those high school years long ago. It also reminds me that one day my kids will be graduating from high school (sooner than later with the way time flies). So if you can stand the lines, the excited kids and be willing to pay the cost to go to the movies, it is well worth it!

Treasures from my kiddos

Yesterday, we came home to a beautiful blanket of leaves in our front yard. I was commenting to the kids about God's beauty and they surprised me with my very own collection of leaves. So I decided to let them grace my front porch by our pumpkin so everyone entering our home could enjoy Gods beauty. The joy on Grant and Shannon's faces were priceless! I love these little treasured moments from my kiddos and hope that they never end!

A Special Time

Monday evening, I watched my two nephews Dustin and Andrew. It was such a wonderful time watching Dustin and Grant play football together. Grant looks up to his older cousin and so enjoys spending time with him. Dustin helped Grant read his school book, while my girls enjoyed holding Andrew. Needless to say, I didn't get much of a turn holding the newest member our big family but I got some cute pictures!

Our little Andrew gave us a scare a month ago; however he is doing well. Look at that hair! As Shelby says it best "Andrew is going to be a lady killer one day!" Can you tell she loves him?

Thanks boys for coming over and playing. Next time lets not wait so long!

Field Trip Mania

This past week, I attended field trips with Shelby and Grant. Shelby's field trip was to the Renaissance Festival, which ended up rainy and cold. Grant's was to a Diary Farm, which also was cold and damp. However the weather didn't ruin the fun!

Shelby was able to help in a magician show and watch a live josting. Grant was able to pet a 4 day old calf and milk a real cow. It is such a delight to see your kids having fun. Thank you Shelby and Grant for wanting me to be with you!

Where has all the time gone!

It has been a little over a month since I posted last. Where has the time gone? Well, at the end of September we went on a magical Disney vacation with family...16 to be exact! Dreams do come true and many magical memories were made that will last a life time.

Upon returning, my life went in "upper sonic speed". I had to help kids catch up on homework and I had to catch up on my own paper work, plus return back to my part time job at school. So there you have it...sometimes life is to hetic; however I am back in "somewhat" control and look forward to sharing my thoughts once again!

Crisp, Cool Fall

The signs of fall are all around us...the turning and falling of leaves, the shorter days, the cooler nights and morning, pumpkins appearing on front porches. My favorite season is here. This weekend marked the yearly "preparing for fall". We took in the deck furniture, turned on the furnace and put on our flannel sheets and blankets.
